Yesterday I went to the BIT travel expo in Milano and, let me tell you, what a “bad” idea that was! Not because the exposition was bad itself – it wasn’t – but for the opposite reason: it gave me instant wanderlust… as if I needed any more of it! I walked around from stand to stand with other travel bloggers/instagramers/enthusiasts and all I could think of was: will I ever have the time and…View Post
Everyone who knows me, even a little, knows of my visceral and incredible love for travel. I travel whenever I can, wherever I can: there is no destination too small or obscure for me, and I firmly believe that beauty can be found everywhere. I was fortunate enough to grow up with two parents who traveled a lot and (almost) always brought me with them: I took my first plane long before I turned 1 year old and I have visited incredible places all around the world before turning 18. As an adult, I continue my quest on a daily basis: I travel as much as I can with my husband, but I also travel with friends or alone, depending on the mood and on the destination. I have been to 45 countries around the world so far, and can’t wait to see the rest of them. Follow me, I love to get wonderfully lost!

Love historical homes? So so I! Whenever I travel I always check out if there are any cool mansions or places where famous historical characters have lived, such as Einstein or Mozart. Not far from where I live, on the shores of Lake Lugano, there is an amazing villa to visit, where Italian writer Antonio Fogazzaro lived in the 1800s. The villa is right on the lake, on the Italian side of the lake, and…View Post

This is where this post about Lisbon, Portugal, comes in: if you are toying with the idea of visiting this amazing city, these 5 reasons…View Post
Happy New Year, my friends! I hope the end of 2017 was amazing for all of you. For me it was sort of a tornado of emotions, mostly of the positive kind 😀 On December 22, Marco and I got married and it was a lovely, fun and incredible day I will never forget. We got married in Milano, at beautiful Palazzo Reale, and all the people we love celebrated with us until the wee…View Post
Every once in a while, when I can’t sleep, I count the countries in the world. I know it sounds crazy and it’s probably counter-productive to concentrate on names and numbers when trying to drift off to sleep, but I can’t help it. There are 195 countries in the world. 196 if you count Taiwan. I’ve lived in 3. And I’ve been to 41. Which, when you think of it, is nothing. It’s a little…View Post
