I love to cook. This should come as no surprise if you consider that I come from a family of (mostly) wonderful cooks. Both my parents are great behind the stove and from time to time I will share with you some of their recipes as well: my Mom makes amazing pasta dishes, while my Dad is a risotto expert. My Grandma Mina also was a very good – although impatient – cook: her gnocchi and meatloaf recipes are epic, just to name a few. My Mom’s aunt was a professional cook and yes, we still have some of her special recipes written down, so I’ll be sharing those as well. And then there is me. I always liked to hang out in the kitchen as a kid, watching my parents prep and cook. As a teenager, I started cooking when my parents weren’t around, first only for myself, then for my friends as well. When I moved to the U.S. in my early 20s I bought my first cookbook: it was the great American classic “The Betty Crocker Cookbook” and I studied it from the first page to the last. I started cooking and started experimenting and kept buying more books. I never stopped. I know own more than 100 cookbooks and I absolutely love cooking. So are you ready? Let’s get cooking!
