A very happy (and very new) 2018!

Happy New Year, my friends!

I hope the end of 2017 was amazing for all of you. For me it was sort of a tornado of emotions, mostly of the positive kind 😀

On December 22, Marco and I got married and it was a lovely, fun and incredible day I will never forget. We got married in Milano, at beautiful Palazzo Reale, and all the people we love celebrated with us until the wee hours of the morning. It was magical and absolutely incredible in every way.

We haven’t gone on our honeymoon yet (more about that coming soon!) but we did go on a lovely 2 week vacation to Val Gardena, where we skied and had an incredible time (more about that is also coming soon!)

I am also thrilled to announce that I’m starting my own business! It’s a bit scary, as I won’t have a regular, secure paycheck coming in every month, but I’m convinced freelancing is the right thing to do for me, as I have such a long experience in writing and translating! Not to mention that THAT is what I really enjoy doing, and I finally have come to the conclusion that I should follow my dreams with more enthusiasm.

My only resolution for this new year is to post once a week on this blog, as a first step towards building my writing business. I hope you will all help me achieve this by reading me and encouraging me!

So cheers, my friends! Let’s see what this 2018 has in store for us, shell we?

    Hi Kika,
Checking out your blog and loving it. Can’t wait to try some of your recipes and your travel tales are inspiring. You go girl!! I’m sure your blog and writing will be a great success. Lesa and I are talking about planning a trip to Italy this summer or fall … she’s trying to convince Billy… but hey, it may turn out being a sister trip and that would be awesome too. Take care!
